This course is designed to explain the concepts, objectives, and safety of using the skid steer equipment in construction settings of all types, including site work for building construction, road/highway construction, oil field operations, and pipeline work.

Course Completion Requirements
Participant Must Provide

Visibility safety vest
A photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.
In order to receive a Certificate of Completion, the participant must:
Attend 100% of the course
Sign the attendance roster each day of class
Complete and pass the field activities
Complete the end-of-course evaluation
Attendance Requirements
Class attendance is an essential part of the education process, and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. The course requires participants to attend a minimum of 100% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, the instructor will review any additional attendance requirement, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed.
Participants in a TCOLE credit course must complete the class in its entirety to receive TCOLE credit.
Course Objectives
Demonstrate knowledge of basic skid steer design and components.
Perform basic skid steer maintenance and operations.
Perform excavation and loading activities with the skid steer safely and proficiently.
